British celebrity and portrait photographer Terry O’Neill passed away Saturday November 15th 2019 at the age of 81.
I was lucky enough to meet this gentleman in Oslo some years ago. He even let me take his portrait. Then almost 80, he stood in front of his Naomi Campbell portrait - making sure I got her eyes in the frame. I wrote about the experience in this post.
Mr. O’Neill has photographed celebrities over several decades, amongst them David Bowie, Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse and all the James Bond actors. A truly remarkable and gentle human being that I’m happy to have met.
